Popis
This tea comes from the Shui Lian Dong area – a place where most tourists go to feed the pigeons and watch the water fall from the rock waterfall that gives the area its name. Perhaps the most important thing about this spot in the inner park, though, are the extensive tea gardens, which are largely planted with the Shui Xian variety atop the cliff. There are also several mature and older shrubs of this plant with an age of around 100 years. This tea comes from about 50 year old bushes.
The tea leaves are roasted at a temperature of 100 to 110 degrees for about 12 hours after production. This is followed by 3 more roasts of 10 hours each. The last one was in March (2023).
Exceptional Yan Cha with great potential for maturation.
The taste and aroma are more reminiscent of liqueur or aged cognac with notes of orange peel, raspberries, dried flowers, poppy, wood, cocoa biscuits and spices.
