The village of Wu Dong and its surroundings are one of the best terroirs of the whole area. The local soil and altitude give the local teas an unmistakable aroma and taste. The area is located between 800 and 1400 meters above sea level and is further divided by the locals into small and large Wu Dong.
This tea comes from small Wu Dong. This is the name of the gardens that are on the hillside below the village. Da Wu Ye (big black leaf) one of the local favourite varieties which was roasted in an electric oven.
1st baking: 95 degrees, 10 hours
2nd baking: 98 degrees, 5 hours
3rd baking: 100 degrees, 1 hour.
The intervals between baking are at least one month.
Aroma: significant, spicy, sweet with notes of apricot jam, strawberries, mint, meadow honey and fresh flowers
Taste: full, sweet with dominant notes of apricot and strawberry jam, dried flowers, meadow honey and a longer spicy aftertaste
